Kristine makes art. And she wants you to make art, too.

Encompassing a rounded credentialing in the field of visual arts, Kristine Peterson has a BFA in studio art, a Masters in Art Education certifying her to teach all grade levels, and is currently earning her Masters in Counseling in Art Therapy. Kristine has been in classrooms of all shapes and sizes, teaching large assemblies of 180 students as easily as her private individual students. Her classroom experience has been gained throughout the continental United States in public and private schools, as well as urban and rural settings. She is adept in both online virtual classrooms as well as traditional brick and mortar venues. For nearly a decade Kristine has been continuously teaching students. Her teaching curricula has included courses in drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, glass art, conceptual art, fiber art, music, and even dance! Kristine’s favorite things about teaching the fine arts are building positive and encouraging relationships with her students and seeing them come alive to their own creativity through art making. The arts have had a large influence on her life since she was very young. Likely, she was drawing as soon as she could hold a crayon! She began dancing at three years of age and playing the piano at four years of age. She credits the arts as scaffolding all of her achievements in life both academically and personally. She lives with her husband, also an artist, and their two fancy cats. It is Kristine’s passion in life to make the healing and inspiring power of art accessible to everyone.
